AFT Oregon launched a Member Organizing Program to provide critical experiential training opportunities for Local Leaders in organizing and a means to get more members out in the field doing organizing work. Here are the details of their program and materials to help you get started.
First, you can view the initial Proposal laying out the vision of the program as well as the Program Overview once implemented. Here is the announcement that was sent to local leaders about the program.
A Local interested in applying would fill out the attached Local Application form. The Local can then send out a letter or email such as this to attract interested members.
A member interested in applying can fill out this Member Application form. Once accepted, this document reviews the Member Organizer Expectations and Roles.
